Should I be a mentor or a mentee?
Quite possibly both! Mentors often reflect that they learn just as much from the process as the person they are mentoring. So if you are an experienced senior leader, you should definitely consider mentoring, even if you want to be mentored as well. You can apply for both roles at the same time.
How much time does it take?
The time is worked out between mentor and mentee. In our experience, an hour a fortnight or month is the best balance between your busy schedule and giving you time to take action between sessions.
How much does it cost?
We know that you understand the value in investing in yourself, but we also want to keep the costs affordable for our smaller members and those individuals who might be paying for the course themselves. The cost is $299 for mentees, payable when you are matched with a mentor. There is no cost for mentors.
Who will my mentor be?
Mentors are selected from experienced ADIA members and other industry applicants. They are matched using our algorithm to maximise their suitability to your needs. They may be in the same space as you, or they may be operating a completely different type of business.
How will I know what to do?
ADIA's mentoring program is being facilitated by Art of Mentoring. Art of Mentoring is a mentoring business based in Australia and operating globally in 26+ countries. The program brings together the latest in mentoring best practice with a vast range of evidence-based programs, expert consultants, software and world-class resources to support the design and implementation of effective mentoring in your organisation. Training and information sessions are provided throughout the program to support your growth and learning.
What if I have more questions?
You can ask questions throughout the program. If you're not sure if mentoring is for you, or if you have any more questions, visit the ADIA Mentoring platform.
